Any challenge that calls for using up bits of paper is fabulous and functional, and the finished project is always such a surprise. IÂ’ve had this canvas for a while, and todayÂ’s challenge was a perfect time to haul out everything I could think of and have at it.
Leftover bits of book pages
Leftover strip of music on parchment paper
Leftover stamps I havenÂ’t used in years?
And lots and lots of paper pieces over paper pieces until I got the effect I wanted.
The bg inks are acrylic thinned with water, and the rings and dots are made by dipping lids and paintbrush ends in acrylic. My sentiment, Enjoy, got thinned a bit from the sparkle spray, but hopefully can still be read. And the butterfly is a last of a sheet of butterflies.
Hopefully this will make a nice gift for my oldest daughter who, after 21 years of raising her children, is finally looking for a home to be just her very own space. TFL
