Another of my samplers: 12" frame, the brown layer is scored around the edge.
The green layer is 9", scored at 3" and 6" in each direction to assist in the placing of the squares.
Each square is 2 1/4", matted on white and then black.
Top left: Purple Onion Eggnog, coloured with Polychromos, sponged background with distress inks, silver pen for detail on the scarf, Glossy Accents on the lantern.
Top centre: Purple Onion Sweetheart and Log, masking. Coloured with pencils. I overdid the SN clear glitter pen on the heart. Sky sponged in, pencils and Zest-It for the grass.
Top Right: DoCrafts Owl Folk. Background is sponged and spritzed distress inks - chipped sapphire and wilted violet, with gold distress crayon stars, and Lovely as a Tree stamped in the foreground. The owl was stamped on thin paper, coloured with pencils and popped up on foam.
Centre left: SNSS Bookmarks Bits and Pieces owl, masked with Unity book stamp; pencil colouring, background sponged in with distress inks (pumice stone, smoked hickory).
Centre - Sizzix ef on kraft, sponged with distress inks and popped up on foam. The owl behind the aperture is October Afternoon Night Owls, stamped with Memento Chocolate Brown and coloured with pencils. No white matting on this one, just the black layer.
Centre Right: Purple Onion Nutmeg coloured with pencils, sky sponged in, foreground pencilled over a Fiskars Texture Plate for more interest.
Bottom left: LOTV Moonlit Owls, pencils and gamsol for the background, Stickles stars. I painted some Perfect Pearls over the moon for shimmer, Glossy Accents on the berries.
Bottom centre: Purple Onion Snowy. Sponged distress inks background, white paint for the snowy foreground, white gel pen details.
Bottom right: LOTV Woodland Scenes, sponged distress ink background. Liquid Pearls for the snow, Stickles and clear glitter pen accents.
All owls coloured with Polychromos pencils, I think they all have glossy accents on their beaks.
A closer-up picture of each row is on my blog HERE, along with the card which went with this.

I don't know who will be receiving this but....they will be blown away! The owls are adorable...my favs are the one with the leaves and the Santa hat..such a sweet project made with love.
What a wonderful project, made with lots of love (and patience!). It will surely be treasured by the recipient. Thanks for taking the time to write out all of the details, too.
