This StampinÂ’Up! Custom Inked ribbon and background was essentially created by accident. My friend reminded me of the technique of dying ribbon to match cardstock, and so at a retreat she showed me an easy way to do it. This also included using the leftover ink to color your cardstock, creating your own custom backgroundÂ…lolÂ…
We simply tapped a pad of tempting turquoise on a silicone sheet and used a few spritzes of water to preferred color intensity. You can go for a more mottled look or solid color depending on preference. After we colored the white ribbon and dried it with a heat gun I blotted & ran a piece of white card stock through the leftover ink creating a custom backgroundÂ… Yay!!
