For Lydia's VSN challenge. I was wondering about this one - and then bingo! I was actually thinking of doing crayon resist for the Everything Old is New Again TLC challenge next week, and had stamped two bunches of In Full Bloom with masking. I had already coloured one and didn't like it enough, so the challenge is something else. But this one was sitting uncoloured on my desk, a reject because of a smudge of black ink. Well, adding colour to the background would deal with that! So, out with my Brusho wax resist sticks (MUCH better than the white crayon I used on the first piece), and I coloured all the flowers and leaves. Then I laid a snowflake stencil over and stencilled in the flakes with chipped sapphire. Removed the stencil and sponged over the whole thing with what was on my sponges which looks like mowed lawn and peacock feathers. Went looking for a flourish to make a trail for the little ladybird and ended up with the starburst from Star of Light embossed in gold EP. So I matted the piece onto gold mirror card and then black, and added a birthday sentiment and some clear Stickles in the centres of the flowers.
