To buy the dies or not buy the dies - that is always the question, right? Because they are so convenient, but so expensive. Started making an Easter card with my MFT Somebunny set - got the bunny colored and her outfit stamped and fussy cut for paper piecing, only to realize this was a set I opted not to get the dies when I got the stamp set. And I wasn't feeling the love for fussy cutting - ESPECIALLY since I wanted to have a spacer layer underneath. Guess I know what will be on my next crafty order.
Plan B - pulled out these cuties from the MFT Beach Bunnies set - personally, I think they are even cuter. AND I had the matching dies!
Stamped/colored the bunnies with Copics. Die cut extra "blank" bunnies for dimension. Stamped the outfits from some scraps I had leftover from another project. Cut out and paper pieced. Used black nuvo drops to enhance the bunnies' eyes.
Cut a stitched circle in a panel of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock using my MFT In&Out Stitched Circles Dienamics. Cut a smaller pierced circle from lightweight white cardstock using my MFT Pierced Circles Dienamics, using the stitched circle opening to help me position it. Stamped a second pierced circle from blue and green cardstock scraps in my stash to create "sky" and "grass." Inlaid. Die cut a cloud from a scrap of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock.
Stamped/embossed my sentiment (YNS) and assembled the card.

Ooooh, you know this is jumping into my faves!!! Love those sweet bunnies, your paper piecing and the layout with the double stitching. Love it, love it.
Oh, yay for matching dies!!! I am SO NOT good at fussy cutting! I only have a couple of sets with matching dies though. As you said, so expensive but wow they make our life easy and creativity flows easier (at least for me)! This is gorgeous!!!!
