This is for Sonja’s VSN Challenge – Water Reflection. This was a left-over piece from a reflection card I made a few years ago. It needed some fixing so I never used it and almost tossed it out. This VSN challenge gave me the nudge to finally fix and utilized it.
Originally I did the reflection by first stamping the image on the cardstock, coloring it and sponging the water. Then I cut off a piece of shipping tape long enough for my image and removed a bit of the sticky by pressing it to my jeans on and off a couple times. Then I rubbed by embossing buddy on the cardstock a little bit. I stamped the image on the shipping tape on the sticky side. Then I lined it up as a reflection and pressed onto the cardstock and lifted the tape up gently. It doesn’t make a perfect image, which is good for the reflection effect. Colored and sponged the reflection image softly to match the main image. I layered on a marbled paper for sky & clouds and heat embossed a vertical sentiment to go with the mood of the image. The final touch was to use a glitter pen all across the water. Thank you for the inspiring challenge. Thank you for looking!

Thank you for sharing the details of how you created the image. There are so many ways to create the water reflection effect and yours turned out GREAT! The shimmer on the water and the marbled paper are wonderful touches, too. Every detail makes this car soar!
