Altenew has organized a card drive for the lonely elderly in nursing homes for Mother's and Father's Day (full details at: http://altenewblog.com/2018/03/14/20...s-card-drive/), and I was thrilled to get the chance to make a few cards to contribute! I am currently participating in the Altenew Educators Program (AECP) and decided to incorporate some of the things covered in their All About Layering 1 course into the cards I produced for this wonderful drive! Because the cards have to be mailed together in an envelope, I opted to make them as mail-friendly as possible.
For this card, I started by stamping the three parts of the lovely ranunculus bloom in order, using one color ink combined with second and third generation stamping to achieve the different depths of color in the flower itself. I then used the same technique to stamp another bloom in the upper corner, as well as the various leaves throughout the panel. I then used a marker to randomly add dots to the background as a filler.
Thanks so much for taking the time to view my card! I hope you'll consider playing along in this Card Drive - there's still time to participate!
Blessings,
C
