As usual I am inspired by the colors on our site today, especially in this image here.
I used the smooshing technique on acetate for the first time and loved the results (thanks to inspiration from the CAS mix-up Challenge). I found that it worked best for me if I just put some dots of ink in multiple places on the foil, smooshed, and then repeated this till I liked the results. I had to hold the acetate against a white bg to actually see how it looked and to decide when I was satisfied. As this dried I die cut my stitched opening from a piece of cs the same size as my card front and my flower branches, stamped sentiment and then attached all to the card front. Love how shiny the acetate looks but of course you can't see this in the photo.
Wow, what an amazing photo you chose! Your background is stunning! Your colors are so vibrant. You did an amazing job with the technique! The die cuts are gorgeous with the vibrant background behind them!

Oh WOW I am not sure I noticed that shot before this, that is as much of a surprise to me as purple sand dollars. I love what you did here with the colors so much

What a wonderful vibrant background and love how you've used the acetate. I found that the alcohol inks played differently on acetate (as opposed to gloss card etc) and I loved it...And...I am loving your card. Thanks for joining in at The CAS Mix Up challenge x

I just love the movement evident in your gorgoeus background, Maura. The colors are gorgeously vibrant and showcase the lovely flower branches ever so beautifully!
