Here's one of the cards I made for Cathy's WTUI challenge this week, which you can find HERE. I think I'll keep this for our anniversary in June, as I'm pretty sure I've already used these birds for my sister once already. I think they are a Marianne die, I'm not so good at remembered things I didn't buy myself, and this was a gift from Lorraine.
Cut and stitched the strips onto white card. Added the black die-cut. Stamped the sentiment.
Decided that for an anniversary a heart was called for, so it's punched from a scrap of my gilded faux silk background from Monday's TLC.

Love , love, love the stitched strips, Sabrina! I'm pretty sure I will have to do this at some point! LOL! The pretty bird die cut pops on your colored striped background! What a fabulous anniversary card!
This is gorgeous!!!! I love the strips! I always admire sewing on cards! I just can't do it! I have a hate, hate relationship with the sewing machine and stay far away from it. My husband, on the other hand, uses it often to make backpacking, tarps, quilts etc! LOL Your bird die is gorgeous!!! Wonderful card!

This is delightful! Love everything about this card. The stitching is a brilliant design idea that not only add texture and interest, helps carry the eye from the top of the card down to sentiment. SO. VERY. CLEVER! Popping this one in my favs as an inspiration piece. TFS!
