This is for Diane's wonderfully versatile sketch this week; there are so many images or sentiments that fit nicely into that oval, I had a difficult time deciding what to choose. This sketch would also work great flipped 180 degrees, I think. I'll be hanging onto this one to use again.
I wet a piece if 140lb hot press paper to start
I inked the image with Distress ink cubes and markers for the stems and dark center of the flower, gave the inked stamp a fine mist of water and stamped onto the damp paper. I water colored with the same inks and added some blue around the image - not too happy with that attempt, but no time for do-over! Embossed the white and pear panels with a couple of leafy folders and paired with some pretty dp from my stash. I did cheat a little in adding the tiny oval for a greeting.
This looks much softer IRL! I have a new computer with different photo editing on it and I am struggling with it, ugh!

I feel your pain with the new computer - I installed one last Sunday. Luckily I got Windows 10 to accept my camera editing software that was configured for Window 98!! as I didn't like the results with the new one either. Your card, however, is lovely - great job on your flower and the pear dp and embossed layer compliments it perfectly.

Your flower is so showy your card pops right out of the gallery! It is gorgeous! I love how you used green dsp to allow your flower to get all the attention. I sure do hear you on the new computer software (sigh). ~Karen.
