Tuesdays are Travel Tuesdays for me - virtually. I travel to a different state each week, do some research and learn some fun and quirky things along with some informational stuff about that state. Then I used on thing I've discovered as inspiration for a card.
This week's States of the Union Challenge took me to the state of New York (the 11th state to attain statehood). The fact I used for inspiration for this card is this: The first pizzeria in the United States opened in NYC in 1895.
You can find more photos/information about the state of New York and my card on my blog...

That is a great thing to start to learn about a new state every week! I love this pizza guy, Like the wood and brick background also, I did not know that is where the first pizza place was opened and so long ago too!

Jeanette, what a fantastic idea, and thanks for the information about pizza!! The image on this card is gorgeous and you colored it so well! I love the brick panel to represent a stone oven! Great card, Jeanette!
