Sorry I am late posting for the INspiration Challenge - had a few too many things to do this weekend. I picked this fun Batiked Scarf as my inspiration:
To get a batik look, I wadded up some aluminum foil and then straighted it back again leaving the main wrinkles. I swiped ink over the wrinkles and spritzed with water. Then I pressed my paper into the ink several times misting with water in between. I actually inked the foil one more time and turned my paper sideways to get more pattern.
The middle panel was done with a welcome stamp I turned into an egg since the shape was close. It says welcome but I covered it up with an Easter greeting. I tucked in two doilies from SU! It needed some black or something so I tucked in some leaves.
Not sure black and white work really well for Easter, but I really like how the bg came out and I figure God loves all colors since He made them.

Love the way you layered your elements! Your background looks wonderful. The doilies and leaves are perfect for lifting your 'egg' from the background. I like your very creative take on Easter a lot!

Nancy, what a FABULOUS smooshed foil bg...ty for describing your technique. Love the black, charcoal and white together...looks like a black & white photo! Your lacy oval die-cut with its Easter cross and sentiment are BEAUTIFUL finishing elements for your card!

I am sorry that I am tardy in commenting on this, I am just now seeing it. Your background is so striking! Cool technique! I am going to have to try it! I like black and white for Easter. It was definitely a darkness vs light battle that was waged and won!
