The beautiful colors reminded me of this paper and the white flower reminded me of SabrinaÂ’s Ways to Use It Challenge to use a bleach technique.
I stamped and heat embossed this sketched flower on Island Indigo. Using a paintbrush, I painted bleach inside the flower, bud and the stems. The stems turned into a Mint Macaroon shade which was in the DSP paper – that was handy! I used more bleach on the flowers and they turned into a Barely Banana shade which is not in the paper. So, I painted Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry ink over the yellow. The treatments on the flowers gave them an interesting texture. Scattered a few pearls and stamped Happy Birthday. Wonderful inspiration with these challenges. Thanks for looking!

The inspiration piece is gorgeous and so is your card! Your technique turned out beautifully!! How fun that the bleached stems turned just the shade you needed! Stunning card!

What a beautiful, elegant and classy design, Diane. It's always seemed to me that SU cardstock bleaches better than my generic stuff...this is proof of that. The softness of the poppy against the indigo backdrop is just so beautiful.

Have always LOVED this stamp...so pretty! Love your layout, the color palette, and the lovely patterned papers your chose...I'm such a sucker for banners! What an interesting result from your bleaching, but your flower is so pretty with the pinks!
