Replaced with a modified version. For those who didn't see it, the original just a full card-front with no border. I didn't want to lose the Liquid Pearl border, so I cut the card front off, and added it to a larger (abut 5" x 6.5") white base, and added a black pen border. It looks much better now.
For Jeanne's Feeling Blue MIXed media challenge - mostly blues and a purple accent. This was great, because for yesterday's WT challenge I had been hoping to have time to try the Foxy Oxi tutorial. So, I tried it twice, once on DOX and once on regular distress.
This is the DOX piece, sponged with the colours listed above, then I sprinkled the crystals over, misted, dried and brushed them off. Added the bokeh circles with a homemade circle stencil. The lavender die-cut was a RAK from Karen Dunbrook - I coloured it with Inktense pencils and add SN clear glitter pen over the lavender. Stamped the SNSS sentiment and the SU bee, adding colour to the bee with DOX re-inker, and SN clear glitter to his wings. Stamped the grass with a Purple Onion stamp, and then edged the whole thing with Liquid Pearls.

This card is just yummy...the colors are so pretty and that technique is fab...I might have to buy some Oxi clean just for this. The bokeh highlights add some wonderful interest and the delicate lavender stalks ....well I think I can smell them ;)
This is stunning! Such gorgeous color for the background. I love the bee and your gorgeous lavender! I read the scripture over twice! Nothing like health concerns to make a person run to God and treasure his words!

Wow, this looks gorgeous Sabrina. There is so much to look at and love. The liquid pearl border is the icing on the cake. I'm off to check out your regular Distress Ink version. Thanks for the tutorial link...you have inspired me.
