Today Sabrina asked that we use 'Spring cleaning' (something I don't do) as our inspiration to use bleach. Now I have not bleached an image in a l-o-n-g time, so this was a fun technique. I used a Penny Black stamp I've had for quite some time & has never seen ink. All the petals are bleached, some more than others, giving a variation of color! Who knew you could do that with bleach?! I also used an old dried up blender pen that I was saving just for today!! It was even labeled bleach! I have 'old' bleach so it took several coats to lift the color.
This will go to a friend for her birthday.
Thanks Sabrina for a fun challenge today.
Thanks for stopping by.

The variations you got with OLD bleach is subtle & very pretty especially with the tone on tone outline. From the looks of the petals you bleached several times, I'm guessing "New" bleach would have give a more vanilla creme colored flower. Using an old blender pen nib sure helped to keep the bleach totally where you wanted it and so no bleeding outside the lines! Beautifully done.

This looks fabulous! I hadn't thought of using an old blender pen, but what a great idea. I like the thought of having that much control with the bleach.

The variation is what I love - once I know I have a cardstock which will give any noticeable effect at all. This is so delicate and dreamy and really beautiful. Thanks for playing along, Karen - I'm glad you had a chance to use that old bleach blender pen again .
