The 4th time is the charm, right? I have a laundry bleach pen, and used it to cover a large area of my craft mat. First I tried stamping on dark blue, but got too much of the stuff on my stamp. You couldn't tell what stamp it was. Next I tried French Script on brown, and it was better, because some of the bleach stuff was less thick. Then I tried the chicken wire stamp on green, but the color wasn't dark enough. Finally I used the chicken wire stamp on the dark green, and NOW you can tell what it is. I'm glad I stayed with it, because I like the results.
The saying is:
"You''re a good egg.......but a little cracked!". This will be an Easter card for one of our grandsons.

I feel your pain Anne - I've learned over the years before starting a bleach project to take 6 - 8 different colors of cardstock, put a drop of bleach in the corner of each and let them dry to see how they react before chosing a color -be cause as you learned today not all cardstock bleaches gracefully . . . I am so glad you persevered as this made a super bg for your hen and "almost" chick.

It is risky business trying to figure out what color is underneath the top layer of card stock to see what color will appear after the alcohol. It guess that is part of the fun, if you have extra paper to experiment with for this little science project!! Love the chicken wire and your hen and chick.

Fourth time, yikes! Sorry it took so many goes, but I'm glad to see from a quick glance down the gallery that you were able to use at least one of the other three. This one looks just super, great choice of stamp. I usually use a piece of paper towel to make a pad, so that it's easier to ensure a better distribution. I don't think I've ever seen a laundry pen here.
