Tried my hand at Gel Printing while at an inky friend's house last Spring, but never did get around to actually using any of my backgrounds. Julie's USEIT2018 challenge has inspired me to make at least one card each month where I try to use something NBUS or something that has been sitting around, not seeing any love for too long. In this case, I pulled out one of the gel printed pieces and a silhouette stamp from Endless Creations that I haven't used in years.
Die cut my opening from a panel of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock, as well as a piece of white cardstock left over from another project. Stamped/embossed my sentiment.
Next, I decided which part of the background piece I wanted to use and cut it down to size and stamped my image. In the end, I decided I liked the look better if I attached the focal piece at somewhat of an angle so that the dividing line between blue and green would add some visual interest.
Assembled the card.
Finally, for about the next 30-45 minutes I tried to embellish it. And tried, and tried. And, in the end, I decided that the poor thing was just trying to tell me that it, like the friend who will receive it, was beautiful and complete as is.

Wow, this is so gorgeous and like deja vue.....I was looking at a card with a water coloured bg and silhouette on it yesterday and which I thought I'd have a go at. I love your bg....beautiful and the flowers against it. Great technique. Your stitched panel looks so great with it too. TFS Happy day
