I stamped the poppies several times for each flower and I water colored them. I picked the best ones and cut and layered them. The centers were done with burned glue technique. I heated the glue and colored it with a sharpie marker. The oval was cut from cardboard. I peeled the top layer back. I painted it and splattered extra white paint on top. I added cheese cloth before gluing the poppies down. I tied the ribbon and when I was tying it frayed a little bit. At first I was going to replace it but I decided to keep it because I liked the shabby look of the frayed ribbon.

Your poppies are just simply Beautiful, Marilynn! I love what you did with the centers; never heard of that before. Very nice layout and the frayed ribbon is perfect (I happen to like it that way)~

MariLynn, this is beautiful, and I especially love the shabby chic effect you so beautifully achieved. Your poppies are beautiful, and I love the ribbon, pealed cardboard (such a cool idea), and the cheesecloth. I love it all! Hugs! xoxo

This is so soft and delicate looking, MariLynn. I love the white spatters and cheesecloth detail, you're an ace with that. And I bet the burned glue makes the most perfect poppy centres.

Wowza MariLynn love the colors of your poppies and the layers. The cheese cloth and frayed ribbon work great for finishing touches and the textures of the cardboard are genius. Thank you so much for playing along and creating this stunning card.
