It's Wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Barbara Anders is our hostess this week and has chosen pink, gray and kraft for our colors. I had intentions of creating a sympathy card with this subdued, neutral combo, then needed a sentiment that wouldn't cover up too much. This one from PTI's Boutique Borders: Sympathy stamp set by Dawn McVey was perfect! I used Spun Sugar distress ink to create a watercolor wash on the card base. Over that is a die cut panel using PTI's Quatrefoil Cover Plate die. The floral stamps are from Altenew's Hisbiscus Bouquet stamp set with matching dies. I used Spun Sugar distress ink for the flowers and Warm Wool dye ink for the leaves and Silver Lining dye ink - both by WPlus9 - for the image outlines. The sentiment die banner is from PTI's Tag Sale Quilted Die set.
