This week we are celebrating Carol (creatingincolors) as our Featured Stamper! You can find the challenge at FS577. Carol's gallery is full of fabulous designs! I wanted to play with my jumbo Spring Zen Easter Eggs and found the perfect inspiration in Carol's Happy Eastercard!
I couldn't wait to break out my Chameleon pens and Color Tops again to color these jumbo eggs from The Project Bin's, Spring Zen set. I absolutely love watching the color transitions when coloring with Chameleon Pens, kind of like magic!
I am also playing along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Create your own Background. I wanted to create my background directly on the card base so I stamped distress inks on acetate, spritzed with water then lightly tapped the watery ink on the background. I was hoping by using this method rather than swishing the cardstock through the watery ink that I wouldn't get the paper overly wet since it is simply heavyweight cardstock and not mixed media or watercolor paper. It worked! The cardstock held up!
