Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to use the beautiful combo of Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum and Garden Green. The dessert option this week is scallops. I hope my scallopey mandala qualifies me for dessert!
Playing with some new and some very old toys, I pulled out one of my all-time favorite background stamps, En Francais, for the subtle background. I die cut the mandala from Razzleberry cardstock, backed with Stick It adhesive. That step makes it oh, so easy, to adhere that intricate shape to the card. Punched out a few flowers and leaves, as well as the sentiment banner.
The real stars of this card are Sponges! Yes, I sponged the heck out of almost everything on this card. That quick and easy step really adds depth to the elements.
This card is going to a friend in California. But knowing her, she won't need any encouragement to get her party on!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

You've used one of my favorite background stamps and it's coupled beautifully with the mandala die cut. Love all your sponging, it's a labor of love, but you're right, it really makes all the layers pop. So very gorgeous Barbara, no doubt your friend with love receiving it!

Gorgeous. Love how you used the colors. The mandala is beautiful and pops against the lighter background. Love the flowers and greenery. Very nicely done! TFS
