This card is going to somebody who could use a little beach right now. Don't know who yet, but that shouldn't be hard.
I would drive 500 miles to go to the beach I think. For the wavy panel: I added my 2 colors of alcohol ink to a FELT applicator along with a little blending solution. I swiped the applicator horizontally across the alcohol ink paper and let dry. I laid the stencil across the DRY panel and used a FOAM applicator and blending solution, sparingly, to lift some of the color in the negative spaces.
For the woody: This is a difficult layered stamp set to use in my opinion. There are 4 or 5 pieces to the car alone. Tip: Cut the die cut first and put it back into the "hole" and put it in your misti to stamp. It is much easier to line things up.

SO cute..I can hear the Beach Boys singing "Let's go surfing now...."..I love the swirly bg and the wonky stitched die cut. That woody looks cool but sounds like a pain to assemble. Great card...and we could all use some beach time right now!

Your background turned out great! I love the wonky stitched frame and the sentiment is perfect. Life IS good! You did an amazing job on constructing the woody because it looks like it was printed out! Really great card, Jean! Thanks for playing!

You should come and live here, then you probably wouldn't have to drive more than about 100 miles ever to get to the beach. But I'd say it would be too cold for you, LOL - the surfers here all wear wetsuits.
Fabulous ocean - I've never tried a stencil on alcohol inks before. It must have required a very light hand not to remove too much. The stitched framing suits it perfectly.

This is such a wow card Pat! Your ocean is incredible (thank you for explaining how you made it)! Your patience paid off because your woody is fabulous and sure brings back a lot of memories. The surf boards are a terrific touch too. I know whomever you send this card to will adore it! ~Karen.

Oh my goodness, what a fabulous looking ocean waves background you've created. The woody image was worth the work because it looks SO retro and cool : ) Love your card!
