TLC678 had us making stained glass backgrounds. This made me think of the beautiful stained glass windows in the church where I grew up. There were some that had pictures from Jesus' life, but others that simply had rich colored panels. I chose to draw lines in the diamond format and use bright watercolors in our family's four favorite colors - purple, green, red, and blue. As you can see, I didn't always wait as long as I should before adding color to the next part but my DD loved it so I went ahead and made it into a card.
I heat embossed the sentiment, added gold thread, and mounted on a black card base to somewhat tone down the bright colors...but I love bright colors!
Thanks for a fun challenge and thanks for looking!

Gorgeous, Catherine! I think the way the colors bled together adds a lot of interest. It really looks just like a beautiful stained glass window in a church.

Oh, what a gorgeous card this is Catherine! Wow! I am super impressed how you made this card with these fabulous hand-drawn lines. I also love how you used your family's favorite colors to water color in the windows. What a terrific sentiment to use on this card and I love the touch of gold thread too! Awesome job my friend! ~Karen.

Awesome card, Catherine. Those colors are so vibrant, and with this wonderfully inspiring verse, this card is a winner. I agree with Jen. It has old world charm with the bled colors.
