Ah, now this was fun! I wasn't initially jazzed up about the Southwest theme until I read about the idea of a cactus. I looked up some basic cactus shapes and some desert sky colors and sketched with my pen.
The eyes and the smile are from my Paper Smooches set. I just couldn't pass up a funny face on my cactus.
Thanks for looking!

Everything about this makes me smile! I love your handdrawn cactus Toni and the genius of adding stamped eyes and smile. The background blending is beautiful.

Oh my, Toni, I LOVE this... except that I wouldn't actually like a prickly but, LOL, I've had more than one inflamed finger from my aunt's cacti. But it gave me a big smile this morning...and next time I see a Peanuts strip with Spike in the Arizona desert I will imagine this beautiful sky into the background.
