For this week's TeaPot Tuesday, Jacqueline chose a wonderful theme of Fashion Forward in honor of Annie who loves to be fashionable. I am seriously lacking in anything fashionable in my stamp stash so I chose to do flowers instead. My friend Dawn recently gave me this wonderful 2-step stamp set by Altenew so I have been having fun playing with it. I stamped the outline, then used the flower stamps to color in the flowers. I inked up the flower stamp, then took a sponge and added more color to the stamp, then stamped it on the cs. I did this a couple of times. I did the same thing for the leaves, but they were too flat looking so I added some more color with copic makers. The gorgeous hello die is a gift from dear alphabet sister Shirlb19. This die was red, so I inked it up in versamark ink, then used WOW glitter purple embossing powder on it, and heat set it. Some of the glitter was trying to come off so I used SU Crystal Effects over the embossing to give it some shine and keep the glitter from coming off. I wanted to add a little bling, but not bulk to this card for ease of mailing so I used a few diamond dots in the flower centers and around the sentiment die. A friendly looking bee and a little strip of glitter CS completes the card. Thanks for looking! ~Karen.

I love it! Straight into my faves. I would never have thought to add the purple glitter to the red hello, and it totally rocks! Thanks for explaining the how-to's on that. Love that strip of purple glitter c.s. and the coloring you did on those blooms!

Flowers are always in fashion, Karen! I remember one year instead of giving my mother a Christmas present, I gave her a bouquet of flowers each month through the year. It worked out more expensive than a present, LOL, but we both enjoyed it. And you've got fabulous texture with that glitter - plus the cutest little bee.
I think Glossy Accents over glitter is great for stopping it shedding!! Annie will just love this, I know.

Chrissy, you are really getting some great impressions from your stamping. This looks printed, it is so clean! Envious. Beautiful floral card. Great work.
