This is for Marilyn's fun Mix Challenge - Touch of WOW. I started this card yesterday afternoon but have only got back to it now to complete.
My WOW is using the technique of colouring the back side of embossed vellum - I have only done this once before and loved the look. I used 3 different coloured marker pens and then attached to Strawberry Slush c/s. I distressed the edges & sponged with Tattered Rose distress ink. The sentiment panel has also been distressed, edges inked, and then the pearls added, once I had placed the parasol. The parasol I have die cut 3 times for dimension, the top layer die cut from a scrap piece I had done previously, looked like I had swiped the inkpad across the c/s. For liking a look so much ie the coloured vellum - I am wondering why it has taken me this long to do it again!!

Sue, your card is indeed a WOW! Love the woven look of your main panel. The lacy umbrella is so lovely too. A VERY special birthday card....I'm sure for someone that is just as special to you.

This is totally WOW! This must have taken some time to color but the effect is just amazing. I love this card, Sue. I am going to go check out that umbrella die too - it is precious. Fun and beautiful and definitely WOW.

OH my goodness, Sue - what a FABULOUS use of that embossing folder. Lucky I already have it, LOL, or I'd be rushing off to look for it - and then never doing anything with it. This is gorgeous.
