Fun challenge today from MariLynn to do something that wows us. I have three things on my card that wow me. First of all, I love any technique that is faux anything. I'm always amazed at the results. So I went back and did the Faux Stamped Leather technique again. Last time I did it I inked up my embossing folder and it "stamped" the paper pretty well, but today, try as I might, I could not get the ink to transfer from the EF to the paper. So I did my faux leather with the embossing popped towards me and just rubbed the walnut stain inkpad across the raised images. I still think it's neat. Another technique that wows me is sponged clouds. It's so simple, but so effective. And lastly, I'm wowed every day by my Spectrum Noir markers. They're like magic. I always say they could turn anyone into an artist.
Ink: Distress Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Hampton Art Aqua, Spectrum Noir and Copic markers
Accessories: sewing machine, Cuttlebug EF, Cottage Cutz Stitched rectaingles die, black and white gel pens, foam mounting squares, twine, computer generated sentiment using "October Twilight" font from fontspace.com

I love the technique, love your coloring every time I see it and love the added clouds. I rarely add them to images and need to add them more often. Beautiful card.

Jen, great image and great faux leather and faux sewing. The clouds are cute too. I love your cute card and all your fun details. Love the western theme too!
