When I saw this image on Kit & Clowder I was hooked and had to get this class. My DH, son and many friends are huge dragon fans and I just knew I needed this in my stash and had to take the class.
Printed the image and colored with copics. What really brought me to the WOW on the image was the background. Used distress ink refills, alcohol and white gel pen to create the BG. Pounced the green and purple on the BG and then used a q tip to dab the alcohol dots. Finished off with some white gel tip pen dots and crosses.
My DH's birthday is coming up and I am so excited to give him this card that every day I ask him if it is his birthday yet. LOL!
The reason for a 5 on this card...well let's just say coloring those wings was a huge challenge. Trying to figure out which wing was in the back and which one was in front because they are colored as if they are transparent. Oh boy...it took 4 tries until I was pleased with coloring them. So if you think that coloring is easy, just remember to practice, practice, practice. We all have to learn and it takes practice for us all.
I would love it if you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.
Thank you for looking!

Fabulous, stunning and dramatic. One of my favorite background techniques. I love the dramatic feel and you are right, coloring is not so easy. Takes a lot of practice to produce this level of result!
