I checked out the Tea Party for Snietje's Mom yesterday and saw the challenge was asking for a textile element in the card, then I was inspired by the tea cozy in the picture to knit a card. I couldn't resist, because I'm pretty sure I've seen Snietje knit on at least one card and I'm always admiring her needlepoint cards. So since last night was knitting night, I grabbed this yarn that I bought at my favorite yarn store, Peter Patchis Yarn, in Central Falls, RI. Check out this photo. It's amazing. I can't resist these spools of cool yarn that Peter (jr.) sells by the pound. Anyway, I pulled out my book of knitting stitches and picked out this pretty one and knitted up a 4 x 5 panel.
Then this morning when I got up, I checked out Toni's challenge to use hearts, diamonds, clubs, and/or spades. So I used hearts and diamonds. I cut out the heart with my ScanNCut and found this label die cut hanging around, so I stamped my sentiment and added some "diamond" rhinestones.
This card is also perfect for Kelly's CCEE Challenge which is to make a card showing something we love--because I love knitting especially fun, lacy patterns like this one. So relaxing!
I love this card, Snietje, and I hope your mom does too!

OMG what a great design....a brilliant idea to add a knitted panel! I'm sure Annie will be thrilled to get such a lovely and unique card. And that yarn store is a cool place...if I were a knitter I'd be there all the time..looks fun!

Great sentiment, lovely monochromatic and highly textured card. I remember knitting a panel with crewel yarn for a very early TPT. This certainly oozes style and elegance.

Wow, what beautiful knitting! You really put a lot of thought and sweetness into making this for the lady who likes textile elements. She is going to love this. I love the sweet sentiment-so perfect.
