Thank you Melissa Kerman for your fabulous tutorial on Gilded Faux Silk. I love this technique and to add some sparkle with embossing powder made it even better. Instead of stamping on tissue I took the easy way out and used a serviette (paper napkin) then added the gilding around the edges instead of all over..I thought the image was a bit too busy to do that. Instead of Gel Medium is used a glue stick (only because I didn't have any) LOL and some Starform silver greetings and lace as accents.

I have been wanting to try this technique for awhile, and seeing your stunning card take a paper napkin and turn it into art gives me the impetus to try. I also have a kit that includes some pretty napkins...hmmm... You chose such a glorious focal image, I cannot stop looking at it, and the color of your card base really accentuates the beauty of that focal image.
Thank you so much for leaving your kind comment on my hand-stitched card. This is a new medium for me and I have much to learn, but I am glad that I tried it and hope to continue to create hand-stitched cards. I have at least 30 or more in my future until I finish taking the backgrounds and tags I have already stitched and put together those cards.
Again, thank you, your comment meant so much to me!
