So... Carla has this challenge this week to dig out an old tool and blow the dust off it. and I thought about it for a while at work and I remembered that last weekend, I had seen Ardyth do this cool card with an embedded sentiment in it. ( she told me later its all one big die) and I remember looking at it thinking wouldn't it be great if it was easy to line up all those letters... ( which when I read about that tools you don't use thing this is what I thought of, I have tons of alphabet dies that I never have used this particular one it was my ok, I am going to stop buying these things sets...) ( I don't have this problem with stamps go figure right?) So I promptly cut out happybirthday. and that ended up being more work than I wanted to do to embed with all those letters with center pieces. not crooked. so, I decided to go smaller and start with hubs name which had no bitty pieces and its fairly straight and so, it did end up on a tag, then tried one for ds. tossed a bunch of letter pieces and decided he does not get embedded names on his lol.
before this all the personalized tags I have ever made are all monograms. no line up involved. so, I think I will do more of these but, they take me a looong time to do. Thanks for this challenge Carla, & tfl.

Striking tags, Stacy! The embedded letters look great, that would be a lot of work with a longer word or phrase. Nice choice of papers to back the names. Thanks for giving those dies some love and playing in my challenge.

Looks great! Sometimes lining things up can be difficult and time-consuming and then I just think, "Why does it have to be a straight line" and I purposely put letters up and down and slanted right and left. Things can look very good that way, too.
