Such a lovely site for today's Inspiration Challenge! I used to do quite a bit of cross stitch, but I can't recall ever doing needlepoint. Anyway, THIS was my inspiration.
For my card, I put the Adirondack Chair image in my Misti, stamped it w/ Memento, colored w/ Copic markers, overstamped w/ Versfine then sprinkled w/ detail black embossing powder & heat embossed it. I pretty much had to do it in this order to use the Copics w/ the heat embossing...Copics tend to "melt" the ep (& ruin your markers) if you try to use them after heat embossing..especially if you do a lot of blending. I die cut the gray frame using 2 sizes of the matting basics dies. For the dry embossed cherry tree, I arranged the image inside the embossing folder, then put one of the embossing frames on top to keep it from embossing the area over the chair. I sort of matched up the branch embossing on the gray frame & embossed it, as well. The stamped, colored & fussy cut geraniums were added on the side.

Love the pretty embossed background of blossoms. Could just sit in that chair now - outside on a lovely warn spring day. Pity its the middle of summer and we are in a heat wave - best to stay indoors I think.

Just beautiful, Julie. I love the added geraniums. You have so much wonderful texture, too. This card makes me want summer to come even more. Super job with your inspiration.

What a beautiful scene! I love the way you extended it beyond your main image panel with the embossed blossoms going off to one side and the additional geraniums on the other! I love sitting in my Muskoka (ha! Ontario don't you know) chair in the early morning coffee at hand.
You are sooo clever to stamp and color first and then heat emboss. When I was first stamping I tried to emboss then Copic color. Fortunately, I had wide open spaces and really had not learned much about shading yet so my project worked out but I learned then that Copics and embossing don't mix. You have taught us that they do mix when used in the correct order. What drew me first to your card was the embossed branch!! Wow, I love that! Beautiful.
