Today's ways to use it challenge is a fun one; give an unloved tool some use. I decided to add some of these old flower shaped eyelets to my valentine today. I started out grabbing my Crop-a-Dile, but it wouldn't reach. So I dug around and found an extended Crop-a-Dile, that I have probably used about once before, and why I ever bought that monster tool is beyond me! Guess I thought I would use it on scrapbook pages, never did. I couldn't even figure out how to use that thing, so I got out a THIRD eyelet setting tool, the Silent Setter, which partially shows in my photo, and which I ended up using - sheesh! I think I have discovered that I am definitely donating that huge, long reach CAD tool! Never use eyelets anymore, so thanks for a great challenge to dig out the old stuff, Carla!

The Big Bite? I love mine, still use it. DH was very impressed when he was able to add some extra loops to his biker boots using my WRMK hardware and Big Bite, and his rivet gun. I don't believe I've ever seen one of those silent setters! But I love seeing eyelets on cards and those flower ones look pretty with the die-cut hearts.

Well, yeah. Eyelets. I found my setter and eyelets, no problem, but when it wouldn't reach, I couldn't find the back up tools, so I just hammered one of them from the back. Sheesh! I think your flower eyelets are fun, and the flowery hearts are so pretty. Nice Valentine, my friend!

These stories sound way too familiar! If we all got together, we would probably spend the day laughing! I have a Crop-A-Dile, and I think I have used it twice! I still have a ton of eyelets, and a few years ago my daughter called asking if she could borrow the tools and give her a bunch of eyelets! I sent them to NYC pronto! She used about 80 eyelets and was thrilled! Not to mention my being thrilled! Oh the stories......
I do like your hearts on your Valentine! First time I have seen those. You made a lovely card with them!

Beautiful card, love those lacy hearts and the stylized sentiment! I had a good laugh at all your eyelet setting tools. I've been weeding through craft tools and donated three sets this summer! The pretty little flower eyelets add a nice touch. Thanks for giving an unused tool some love and playing in my challenge.

I don't use my eyelets as much as I used to but they do still see the light of day - my Crop-a-Dile on the other hand takes up precious space in the drawer as the old awl punch & hammer system I purchased originally work SO much better for me. Your flower embellishments look great scattered among the die cut hearts - think about pulling them out more often!

Your card looks so pretty with the lacy hearts and eyelets! I also have lots of eyelets I do not use anymore. I have all colors and shapes. I never heard of the large Crop-a-Dial. Beautiful card!

yep! I have lots and lots of eyelets, and actually about three eyelet setting tools, one of them that cropadile thing! I always call it a crocodile! LOL Anyway I am glad you used these pretty flower eyelets because they sure look good on your pretty Valentine card!
