The TLC challenge was to brush ink over paper towel to create textured background. Sabrina, you unleashed a multi-media outburst in me today. I happen to have a scrap of tissue paper technique in blue, so it got scrunched and torn. Back in Dec, on a whim, I bid on a cheap used foiling kit on eBay. Well, it works quite nicely and came with an assortment of goodies, so I foiled the flowers in blue and pressed the left over foil onto the glue tacky edges where I stuck down the paper towel. Lovely Linda (bubblestx4) introduced me to Angelina fibers on a birthday card she sent me and then she kindly mailed me a trio of colors to play with. They do quite nicely in the Minc, so now I am really in business with the glitz and shimmer. I might have gone a bit overboard with the sequins, pearls, ribbon, doily and bits-but heck, I was on a paper towel roll!
Thank for the fun challenge and I love to read all comments. P.S. This card is going in the mail to you, Linda!

It sounds as if you had great fun making this, Sonja, and that's a win. It looks great. The pearls in the candelabra primula are a fab addition. Angelina fibres are fun...both loose and fused; lucky you to have an easier way than ironing of fusing them! I love the way you used extra foil on the edging. To me this has something of a Victorian feel to it...oh, and of course the textured towel is great.

Sonja every inch of this looks wonderful. I loved reading your description, scrolling back and nodding, then reading a bit more, nodding and of course, smiling!

Oh - I'm so glad you are finding a use for the Angelina - isn't that bit of sparkle & shine fun peeking out from unexpected areas . . . I look forward to seeing this up close and personal - as I suspect the foiled flowers have a lot of shine too that the camera isn't picking up. This card feels like a Celebration of Spring - which can't arrive soon enough for me . .
