This journal page is for Sabrina's fun technique challenge using paper towel. Plan A went to pot (copy paper adhered to kitchen paper towel is NOT a good fit).
Plan B is Sabrina's suggestion, to just use a portion of the paper towel. Hmmmm perhaps not this small amount, hope this still qualifies for the challenge.
This is one of the first digi stamps I purchased several years ago. She is coloured with Prismacolour pencils and Zest-it pencil blend. Her skirt has a Copic marker coloured over the top of the pencils.
Warning: Red pencils seem waxier than all the other colours, if you use a Copic marker on top of the red, your marker will need a jolly good clean.
The fussy cutting is a bit dodgy. She was originally adhered to paper towel so I had to pluck fluffy bits of towel away after I trimmed her.
I didn't do a backing panel, she has been glued straight onto a journal page, added doodled border and adhered some strips of the paper towel to look like sea-weedy sort of stuff.
Thank you for looking, I hope you have a happy, inky week.

Susie, kudos to you for having a piece, however small, of inked paper towel attached to this awesome journal page!! Your lady is beautiful with her lovely and long red hair and beautiful skirt! As usual, your doodling is fantastic! I tried the paper towel technique and ended up having to pull the towel from my card and it ended up in a mess. I gave up, so you did great as you persevered! Hugs, my friend!!
Lovely journal page, And lovely job on the technique, too! I have never tried Copics over pencil! I am always learning from you! I think you are the one having an inky week! I haven’t created since last week! LOL

Speechless....your cards just take my breath away. The paper towel pieces look like a furry boa that your gorgeous lady was wearing. The bright reds look amazing against the black bg. Fantastic doodling.

Your description made me laugh out loud, which was a bad idea when my throat hurts. Yes, in my book even that amount of paper counts ;-). You tried and you used it. I use the same principle with techniques I'm really not good at, like acrylic batik or blowing with a straw. And colour challenges.
She looks beautiful, Susie!! Love that you matched her bikini to her tail, and she just sings a siren song against the black background. Here redheads are colloquially known as gingers, but she's out and out flaming red!
