The Chibitronics kit is one of the items I bought from Amazon with my Moddy Christmas gift (so thank you to everyone who supports all the site volunteers in this way). I had a blast making this last night. I don't usually watch videos, but Allison's tutorial, which you find HERE was well worth the time it took. I'm just bummed that because you're not meant to put batteries in international mail, I can't send any of these out of country unless you're willing to put your own battery in ;-). This one will go to the daughter of a work colleague who has a birthday next month.
Followed the tutorial, but added a punched out circle sentiment over the battery housing. Image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with pencils. I used Polychromos for the girl, and Couleur d'Art for the grasses as they resisted the watercoloured background (peeled paint and faded jeans reinkers) better. I added glossy accents to the fireflies and SN clear glitter pen to the vellum on the ones that light up, and white gel pen to bring back the detail on the grasses.
You can see a photo of it lit up HERE.

This is adorable Sabrina. Your colouring is fabulous and the perfect image and layout for the lights. This must look amazing in real life. I can't wait for you to do an outer space moon one!
