Got this Impression Obsession Die at a stamp show last Spring, but just now getting around to using it. When I bought it, I wasn't sure if I'd use it as a whole heart, but thought even if I didn't, there were so many different little hearts there, I could always use it to make heart embellishments or heart envelope seals. I will likely do that later, but it turns out I really did love it cut as is.
Die cut the heart with stitched square die on Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock. Cut a second time from another piece of the same cardstock. Die cut my heart from one of the stitched panels. Layered the die cut panel over the other and adhered together.
Die cut heart out of red glitter cardstock. Inlaid the red pieces into the die cut white panel. For those hearts that were hearts within a heart, I chose not to inlay a white piece for the inside as I liked the look with the inner hearts recessed a bit. I also took an extra tiny red heart I had leftover and put in the center of the bottom heart.
Stamped/embossed my sentiment (Flourishes). Matted focal panel to black mat.
Cut black panel the same size as my card base (my PTI cardstock is heavier than my black, so I opted to do it this way rather than use a black base.). Adhered to card base. Cut red panel slightly smaller and layered to black layer. Adhered my focal panel.
I LOVE how this came out. I can definitely see me making another one for an anniversary card.

Beautiful heart die cut with your red glitter paper. I love your idea of die cutting and using the die cut hearts for embellishments too. All the solid and open heart designs are so pretty and sweet. Love your framing too, Debbie. A really Gorgeous design. TFS and Hugs...

My goodness, this is so striking! What a gorgeous heart die this is; especially with all the twinkling red showing through. Your framing is perfect because it allows this beautiful heart to shine! I may just have to spring for this die now. This is so beautifully done and will truly delight the recipient. ~Karen.
