This is a card for my granddaughter who is soon turning 8. I was inspired by the Erin Hanson quote "-What if I fall? -Oh, no but darling, what if you fly?"
The base is using Bombay India ink in yellow. Once dry, I applied the blue and magenta using lots of water to move the ink around for a watercolour effect. Once that second coat was dry, I went in with Distress inks in wild honey to blend in the magenta and cracked pistachio to add more dimension to blend the blue into the yellow. I hand sketched the Peter Pan silhouette in pencil (inspired by a silhouette I found on the Internet). I used a calligraphy pen and black Bombay india ink to colour in the silhouette; the pen is more precise than using a paintbrush. The india inks are permanent once dry and so it worked well as the base didn't get distorted when I layered the Distress ink on top.

Love your magical card!! Beautiful bg and fantastic job on the hand drawn silhouettes! Brings back wonderful memories of watching the Mary Martin Peter Pan as a child and reading the book to my own children.
