I created this card as part of a set I'm giving to a friend. I got the idea from this card I saw on Pinterest. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the "Brick" folder, and lightly inked it with Tattered Rose & Iced Spruce. After I die cut the greenery & butterflies, I inked them with Shabby Shutters, Iced Spruce (greenery); Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw (butterflies). I also die cut a piece of watercolor paper with a "Grassy Hillside Borders" die, and inked that with Shabby Shutters & Iced Spruce.
I tore the upper right edge of my brick panel, inked the torn part with the same colors I'd used on that panel, and glued it to a white card base. I glued down my greenery & grass, and glued the centers of the butterflies to my panel. (I left the wings "loose," for added dimension.) I stamped the greeting in Charcoal ink directly on the card base. I didn't like the stark white of the card base against my inked wall/greenery panel, so I inked it the background around the greeting lightly with Antique Linen, being careful not to get ink on the brick panel.
