Lisa gave us a challenge to use a new item or toy. Santa didn't give me any new toys. My goal this year is to make cards from all the toys that are not being used. My cricut has been sitting in my basement for three years. Decided to buy a new mat and blade. Our grandson is turning 16 this month. Cut the car and colored it with zig markers. Using different fonts cut out for the sentiment. It was a fun card to make, and my toy will be seeing more use. TFL

How very special that you personalized it for your grandson! I really love it and also the fact that you are going to use toys that you already have. I think I should also adopt this smart philosophy! :-)

Linda I love this super card for a 16 year old's birthday. Great job getting a new cutting mat and blade to use your Cricut. I have one that I have only used a hand full of times and need to use it more as it really is fun to add stuff to my cards from my cricut. Thank you so much for playing along and creating this super cute card.

Oh, what a truly wonderful card for your grandson Cole. He is going to love this card so much! You have colored this fabulous red bug so beautifully and the scripty sentiment is fun and whimsical for a young man of his age; especially since it is personalized. I am super proud of you for getting your cricut out - it is a wonderful toy to have in your craft room. Yay! ~Karen.

Oh, this is great for your grandson, Linda. He is sure to love it. Well, I got new toys and didn't even connect today's challenge with new things. Actually, only saw the challenge tonight. That is when it dawned on me it was the WT challenge today. Ugh! :( I really have too much going on.
