Anna asks us to use our favourite technique for today's MIX257 challenge.
I'm stretching it - I've been sick all week. But one of my favourite things is adding chunky EP, so I did that. And another favourite is going through my box of scraps and rejects and upcycling them, so that's the main focus here.
The wall was stencilled onto a previously gessoed book page, using white acrylic paint. When dry I buffed some luster rub-ons from Craft-T in to add definition. Distressed the edges, and layered on some dry-embossed and sanded Core-dinations.
The little partial oval was stamped using IO's Gradation CAC and I can't even guess what inks or medium I used. Probably distress inks. The little jar is cut from a scrap of vellum stuck first to double-sided adhesive.
The flowers were cut from white card and coloured with pencils and gelatos, and some Stickles added to one. The little tag was punched from the last scrap of a leftover from my MIX200 creation. Evidently chunky EP was a favourite a year ago too ;-).

Sabrina, what a gorgeous, gorgeous card this is. You manage to tuck so many techniques into one incredible card, and it looks perfect (if I did this it would love totally overworked). I am truly inspired by your mixed media cards and this one is just exceptional. I hated reading you have been sick all week. I truly hope you will be feeling better by the time the weekend begins. Take care and Happy New Year to you! ~Karen.

How pretty is this... it looks like a little table just for two at a trendy street cafe. Wonderful use of textures. I have had the same cold and rather than make anything as nice as this, i just went to work and slept.

I love seeing that a few of us are going through our stash of stuff and using stuff. This is a wonderful reject and looks great with your jar of flowers. Hope you feel better soon.
