I received two cards from the Salvation Army - which I didn't really like. The whole background was the yellow and red of the label, and there were a few random 'Aboriginal inspired' circles of dots. I re-fashioned one and attached it as a tag to the front of the card - but then I was inspired by this challenge! I love squares! I cut the Holly from the same recycled card, and put the rhinstones on as berries. The 2017 is also cut from the card - it needed something, but the text on the original card made it hard for me to match ... hence the tag and the deer (which came from the same set as the bear many moons ago).

Terrific recycle of a card you didn't really like into an enchanting Christmas card! I love the little bear holding the greeting sign, and that deer is just as sweet.

Good for you making good use of recycling for this adorable card. I especially like how you incorporated the year! The banner and the deer look terrific. Wonderful embossing on the squares. Well done with the sketch! TFS
