This is for Robin's fun Free for All challenge......Merry December.
This is just one Digi image, resized and some are flipped. Because it is a png image and not a jpeg, I was able to overlap them and group them closely together.
I printed the girls onto smooth white cardstock, the girls in the front row have their original legs, at this stage the big girls are legless.
I coloured the girls with Prismacolour pencils and zest-it pencil blend and then I used a grey Copic marker to colour the background. Next step was to stencil on the brick wall using walnut stain distress ink on a foam blending tool and a dauber.
The trick with stencilling around an image or group of images is to apply different intensity of ink in the open areas. That way you don't seem to notice there is not as much stencilled pattern close to the images. I prefer a rectangular foam blending tool as you can get just a tiny bit of ink by tilting the tool and using one corner of the foam. I use a dauber to randomly add more intense colour to balance it out.
The hair was done next using a black Copic and a black Sharpie pen. I drew some legs on the big girls and used a white paint pen on all the legs to cover up the grey background and brick wall stencil.
I finished off using liquid pearls, then stamped a sentiment (using my wonderful MISTI) and a doodled border. Thank you for looking, I hope you get a chance to join in.

Andy looked at your card and busted out...he said "that Susie is so clever!" I read to him your description and we were both amazed!! You are a genius with those digi's mate! These girlies are so freakin weirdo funny (I know weirdo is your favorite!) I just keep looking at their eyeballs...so amazing! So fun! I love how you did that brick bg too and you are so right about not noticing the lack of definition close to the girls. Genius, I'm tellin ya, genius!

You are the triple crown winner...queen of patience to make that brick bg, queen of "weirdo artsy stuff" with those funny eyed girls, and queen of creativity to design this awesome card. I love every bit of it...especially your signature funny legs.

Very weird, very clever, and oh, so creative! This is amazing, Susie! How patient and talented to sponge the background around the fun, big-eyed girlies! (I first thought they were fussy cut.). Adorable and festive!

They look like a group of friends out carol singing in their Christmas sweaters...what fun. And certainly a lot easier to get the masked effect digitally ;-). Back to check my gallery subscriptions because I did get notified for Francie's. They all vanished a couple of weeks ago but I'm sure I put you back in when I was trying to recompile my list.

What fun!!! I love that you made the Christmas gals all different sizes, and your hint about sponging the bg is terrific. Thanks!!

This is too much fun, Susie. I love these girls with their cute lips and big eyes. But, I really wonder who is their hairdresser. I guess that is the new style, huh? Such a fun and creative card, Susie. You always do the most amazing things.
