Sigh. It took me 5 hours to create this card. It was supposed to be beautiful. I wanted to use this stamp set, so when I saw this lovely card I had the perfect opportunity to add ink to it.
I embossed each wise man in a different color of embossing powder, then rubbed ink over each image to add color. I thought the image of the wise men would look good on a star. I tried every star framelit, all sorts of cardstock, and multiple designs. They all looked terrible. Glimmer and foil paper were too bright. Other colors over powered the image. I finally made a CAS card because 5 hours is more than enough time to find one's creativity mojo. Mine slept through the day.
And, oh yeah, the star is behind the wise men. So much for following the star!

Oh, I love your three kings and the star. But, I know what you mean. I did the same thing when I made my card for this challenge. I spent hours, then hated it, and made another simpler one. I love the CAS style of yours.

Oh, but I still love it, the CAS design caught my eye right away. Seems to be the way with this hobby of ours-taking 5 hours. I know exactly what you mean. Your card is lovely!

A lovely CAS design with this Magi scene! Creative idea to emboss with gold, silver and copper - we can say they have already visited the child and are returning home - away from the star - I too have had days like this!

I am laughing to myself as I read your story behind this 5- hour card! Boy, have I been there before! I think we all probably have had the experience of an idea in the mind NOT translating onto paper. That said, had I not read your description, I would have just thought "what a beautiful CAS card that allows those great die cuts to shine" : )
