I love the use of glowing light in winter scenes like this one here, but decided to make my light source a lamp instead of a moon.
I combined 3 Penny Black stamps for this image, using techniques that I learned from Jill Foster's Penny Black videos. First I stamped and colored the lamp post image (colored/inked directly onto the stamp, stamped with my MISTI several times adding color as I went, then with a wet paintbrush moved the color around, clear embossed the whole image - my stamp was left in my MISTI). Then I masked the lamp post and repeated the process with the Tranquil stamp image, and then also one tree from Prancer. Because I clear embossed these images, this allows me to sponge the sky and the light over the top of the embossed images. Stamped the sentiment, splattered white acrylic paint for snow and added a bit more snow with white gel pen. So much fun to do!!
