Tutorials are my favorite! Awesome challenge, Sabrina! I have this crazy plan to do all of the TLC challenges--I'm on number 5. LOL. I'm actually really glad for this challenge, because when I got to Thumping I got stumped and never got around to it. There are so many old, but new to me techniques out there! So today I thumped some ornaments. I wasn't sure I would like the technique, but I think it made some neat ornaments.
For a simple CAS card this was a lot of work. First I stamped the red ornament twice using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to really lay on the color, then I stamped it again a third time with the thumping. Then I masked that red ornament and repeated all the stamping on the green ornaments. Then I grabbed my ExactlyWrite Address guide to make sure that my strings were straight up and down--or close enough. And I used it to measure and draw out the hangers on the bulbs. Finally stamped the three different words using my WeR Precision Press. Thanks goodness for all those stamping tools!

Oh, I'm so glad you tried thumping! For years a card I made using thumping was in my top twenty most viewed cards, I never could understand why. I far preferred the card where I used it to add texture to a giraffe. It gives a great look to your baubles.

Jen this looks fabulous. I've never heard of thumping, in fact I thought it was a typo when I first read it, then I thought maybe I didn't get all the coffee off my screen that I spat out after reading your are up to Tutorial #5. Good luck on your mission Jen, one thing for sure, I know everything you make looks wonderful.

What a beautiful card! Love those ornaments! I might have to give the thumping technique a try!
