I saw this card via Pinterest, and had to try CASEing it: https://scissorspapercard.blogspot.c...friday-39.html! I die cut a circle from red cardstock, and used that as a template to cut a slightly larger circle from quilt batting with scissors. I glued the batting to a scrap of white cardstock, just so it wouldn't be so see-through, and glued my red circle on top. Once the glue had set up, I cut the white cardstock to follow the perimeter of the batting. I die cut 2 ovals from black paper, and glued them on for Santa's "boots."
For the greeting, I stamped the "HO" with "Quinn's Capital ABC's" onto red cardstock, adding the "3" from the "Basic Alpha" set, and white heat embossed. I colored in the letters with my white gel pen, just to help them match the style of the number a bit better. I die cut that with a "Postage Stamps" die.
I die cut a hole in an A2-size piece of plaid paper from my scrap stash, and used the same die to cut a circle of blue cardstock. I laid my plaid panel onto my white card base, and used that to guide where the blue went. In hindsight, I wish I had just adhered a slightly larger panel of blue to go behind the window in the plaid, because there ended up being a little of the white card base showing on one edge of the blue. But, it's not all that noticeable, so I figure it's OK. Live & learn!
I adhered my background to my card base with foam tape, and used more foam tape to adhere my Santa & greeting. This was a pretty easy card to pull together, despite a few logistical challenges!
