For this week's MIX challenge we are celebrating the artist Dale Chihuly. He is a trailblazer in the field of glass sculpture. For my bg I did a glue resist...applied Elmer's glue to the paper, let it dry and then used Susie's smack and squirt technique to add distress inks. After that dried I stamped the edges with a Penny Black branch stamp. The flowers or orbs reminded me of something Chihuly would make and of course he would do them in brilliant colors. I got to use some new gelatos..these are iridescent. They're very cool. I hope you will take a look and join us for the MIX challenge today.

Wow, wow, wow! Ohhhh Pol this is weirdo arty stuff at its BEST! I love everything about this and after exploring the David Chihuly gallery I think you should make cards for him to sell with his work! Your background looks awesome and I love how you stamped and coloured the orbs and the branch stamping around the edges. I love this to bits my friend.
Don't take your organs to heaven - heaven knows we need them here.

Fabulous sentiment and gorgeous card, Polly. I love those stamps, I keep looking at them and wishing I had a less restricted budget. I love that you have set your sculpture in a garden setting. There's something about glass and gardens that works together fabulously. I still remember an exhibition in our own Botanic Gardens, not as flamboyant as Chihuly's work but still wonderful to see.

Polly, I have popped over to visit your gallery and see all the beauties you have created while I have been MIA! I cannot possibly comment on them all - I had to comment on this gem, it is SO artistic and original!! Your beautiful vibrant pink flower is gorgeous and I love your glue resist bg with the stamped leaves on the side. AMAZING card!!
