This is for Cathy's Ways to Use It Challenge - Thanksgiving left-overs, use some of the left-overs you have hanging around. I was kicked out of my craft room for a couple days by workers, so I had a lot of left-overs on my desk for cards I was planning to make or finish. Since I do need birthday cards in my stash, I selected this left-over from the SCS Misti Monday challenge to use the Misti to stamp repeatedly around the edge to form a frame. I discovered that ink spots are excellent for me to use with the Misti, which led to using two spots in retired colors. As a result, I was also able to utilize some left-over cardstock & DSP in Apricot for the card base & envelope flap; and also some Ballet Blue cardstock for the mat and die-cut bow. I watercolored the cupcake and then painted over all of it with a Wink of Stella pen. It's so sparkly IRL, which is not seen in the photo. Last, I popped on a leftover clear rhinestone lying on my desk. Fun challenge; I should do this more often! It really helps clean off the workspace. Thanks Cathy. Thanks all for looking.

Yes, I have found the smaller ink spots work well in the Misti, eliminating the "extra" ink getting on the lid. This is a sweet birthday card, Diane. The treat bow is really a nice added extra!

What a darling birthday card Diane- this brought an immediate smile to my face. I love the colors you used here and that cupcake is so sweet; especially with that happy birthday message surrounding it. What a great card using leftovers you already have. Fun! ~Karen.
