I created this card to send to Send a Smile 4 Kids. I began by die cutting my frame, using 2 "Stitched Rectangles" dies, from "screaming green" cardstock. I cut a panel of bristol paper slightly smaller to stamp my monsters. I started stamping in the lower right corner, and worked my way out from there, masking as I went to create a whole crowd of monsters. I ended up with a few smudges of black ink on my panel, but rather than start over, I decided to color the monsters with bold colors to mask the smudges. That kind of obliterated the eyes on the blue monsters, though, so I ended up adding googly eyes to the different monsters whose eyes were not closed.
I couldn't figure out at first where to put my greeting, where it wouldn't look squooshed. I finally decided to stamp it on the acetate window I planned to put in my frame anyway. Then I thought, why not heat emboss it? So I cut a piece of heat resistant acetate to go behind my frame, & adhered it to the frame with Scor Tape. After coating it with anti-static powder, I stamped my greeting in Versamark, & heat embossed with Liquid Platinum. I didn't get totally complete coverage, so I repeated that step. Thank heavens for the MISTI! I popped my frame over my bristol panel with foam tape, to give the googly eyes room to live. Finally, I adhered my panel to a pink cardstock card front, and mounted that to a white card base.
